The Art of Functional Movement Training
Course description:
This 4 hour workshop has been designed to introduce the Personal Trainer or other Movement Specialist to the Art of Functional Movement Training. It is a method of training that looks at how the body works as a system or a whole. Nothing that we do, no movement that we make is in isolation. The body works as a whole, interconnected and complete. Our focus is to mimic the physical challenges that we face in everyday life and during sports, in order to improve performance and ultimately increase agility.
We will also explore the mental training that is involved in this Multi-Plane training. How the mind and body integrates new movement patterns until they are performed with efficiency.
Participants will be able to train on multiple apparatus, Pilates Reformer, Chair, Trapeze, freeForm, TRX, BOSU and Fitwall, in order to experience the wide variety of equipment available for Functional Movement Training.
